Opel Networks to increase aDSL2+ coverage.
OPEL Networks Pty Ltd (OPEL) is a joint venture by Optus and Elders to build and operate Australia's new broadband network, covering most of rural and regional Australia.
What this means for Matilda customer is the amount of aDSL2+ enabled exchanges will be dramatically increased in most regional centres such as Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville & Cairns. Currently just the CDB areas have the aDSL2+ enabled hardware installed, starting this month more exchanges will be having the upgrades needed to supply aDLSL2+ high speed broadband.
